Saint & Soldier by Paint2Paper Studios
from $60.00
A depiction of Guru Gobind Singh ji, who was the 10th Guru of the Sikhs. The artist explores Guru Ji’s connection to nature by depicting him with his pet baaj (hawk) and the neela ghora (blue horse) he was often seen with. Guru Ji understood all the grief, destruction & financial grievances war often brings. Which is why he always put a little bit of gold on his arrows : so the wounded men could take care of their wounds or the families of men who died in battle would be taken care of. The arrow signifies his compassion along with his will to stand up and fight in the face of injustice & tyranny. He was truly a personification of a saint who was also a soldier.
