RAAHI & Co was born from the idea of bridging the generational gap between our elders and youth through music. Our mission involves reclaiming the sound of Qawwali and classical music in the West, in a way that authentically links us to our roots.
RAAHI Mehfil is a concert series produced by Mishal Khawaja and comprises of Qawwali, Folk, and Semi-Classical music that is reminiscent of our motherland.
The band is a collective of artists with diverse musical backgrounds, including representation of women who bring their talent to a traditionally male-dominated space. Our group includes: Sahil Kanota, Nav Sarpal, Mishal Khawaja, Ashish, Shobhit Banwait and a lineup of talented musicians.
As members of the South Asian diaspora, we share a deep yearning to reestablish a connection with our heritage.
"Raahi", translating to traveler, extends an invitation for you to embark on a cultural journey with us, as we travel through sound.
