A new site-specific play that is an interpretation of Mirza-Sahiban by Pilu, which is one of the popular tragic romance stories of Punjab.
The Punjabi folktale Mirza-Sahiban has been told and re-told, over and over again for hundreds of years. Mirza, the valiant warrior, defying all odds and conventions, saves his lover-in-distress, Sahiban from a forced marriage on the day of her wedding, only to be tragically betrayed by her in the end.
But, what if we told you that there's a version of this story that's much closer to home than you think?
Join us this August for a ground-breaking theatre production that further explores this tragic tale!
